
An Old Fashioned Christmas Concert
Leaskdale Ontario will be the place to be Saturday November 26th @ 7:00pm for an Old Fashioned Christmas at the Historic Leaskdale Church.
The evening will include Music, Recitations and refreshments and of course Santa will make his way to the church after the Santa Claus Parade in Uxbridge and Port Perry.
Musical Presentations by the Tudor Consort, The Monday Morning Singers,and the LukeMadougalls and others with renditions of some of Robert Service's poems by Conrad Boyce.
The small hamlet of Leaskdale was home to the famous Canadian Author “Lucy Maud Montgomery”, who had her first book “Anne of Green Gables”, published 100 years ago. She resided in Leaskdale from 1911 to 1926 and here, as the wife of Rev. Ewan Macdonald a Presbyterian minister, is where she would write 11 of her 22 best selling novels.
